Privacy policy

This policy explains how V.K.A. Technologies LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information. It covers two separate things: this website, and the client software we license to businesses that operate their own connectivity services.
We do not operate a consumer service. If you use a VPN application built on our software, your service is provided by the operator whose name appears on that application, under their privacy policy — not ours.
Information collected through this website
This site does not use advertising trackers, analytics profiling or third-party marketing cookies. Standard server logs may record an IP address, browser type and requested page for security and reliability purposes, and are retained only as long as needed for those purposes.
If you contact us by email, we hold your message and contact details so we can reply and keep a record of the enquiry.
Data handled by our client software
Our software measures connection quality so that an application can select a server likely to give a stable session. For that purpose it records:
- round-trip latency to available server nodes;
- throughput measurements for the active connection;
- connection, reconnection and failure rates;
- the identifier of the server node being measured;
- coarse technical context needed to interpret the above, such as network type (for example mobile or Wi-Fi), operating system version and application version.
What the software does not collect
The software does not log, retain or transmit:
- browsing history, visited websites or destination addresses;
- DNS queries;
- the contents of network traffic;
- account credentials or payment details;
- precise location data;
- contacts, photographs, messages or other device content.
How performance data is used
Connection performance data is used solely for internal engineering purposes: rating the quality of server nodes, improving routing and selection logic, diagnosing faults and improving the reliability of the software.
It is aggregated, is not used to build a profile of any individual, and is not used for advertising or marketing.
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise make performance data available to third parties, and we do not act as a data broker.
Sharing
We may share information only where it is necessary and lawful: with service providers who host or maintain our systems and act on our instructions; with a licensee, in aggregated form, in relation to the performance of that licensee's own infrastructure; or where we are required to do so by applicable law.
Retention
Performance data is retained only as long as it is useful for the engineering purposes described above, and is deleted or further aggregated after that point.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. Because the performance data described above is aggregated and not linked to an identified person, we are generally unable to associate it with an individual. For enquiries about a specific VPN service, contact the operator of that service. For anything concerning us directly, write to the address below.
Children
Our software is licensed to businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
We are established in the United States and may process information there or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers have an appropriate legal basis.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
